Apple today announced the 2016 12" MacBook laptop.
The main changes are the new Intel Skylake Core M dual core/quad threaded processors and a new Rose Gold color option.
The MacBook 2016 can be configured with an Intel Core m3-6Y30 at 1,1Ghz (2,2Ghz Turbo), Intel Core m5-6Y54 at 1,2Ghz (2,7Ghz Turbo) and Intel Core m7-6Y75 at 1,3Ghz (3,1Ghz Turbo) CPUs, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR3-1866 (Soldered, Dual-Channel).
The iGPU Intel HD Graphics 515 provides up to 25% more 3D performance compared to the previous model's Intel HD Graphics 5300.
USB 3.1 Type-C is again the only connector as well as the 2304x1400 Pixel Retina Display, ForceTouch trackpad and chassis design are identical to the 2015 version.
The 41.4Wh battery can last for up to 10 hours of web browsing according to Apple.
The Core m3 Version come with 256GB of SSD storage and costs 1299$, while the Core m5 version features 512GB of SSD storage and costs 1599$. The Core m7 version is only Configured-to-Order and price remains unknown as of now.
Macbook is available since yesterday in the american Apple Store, and should be available worldwide starting today (20 April 2016).
